Bank of America on "Writing the Future: Basquiat and the Hip-Hop Generation"

We are pleased to be part of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston’s 150th anniversary celebration, and to help present Writing the Future: Basquiat and the Hip-Hop Generation. This will be the first major exhibition to contextualize Basquiat’s work in relation to his peers associated with hip-hop culture.

The MFA has been a longtime partner of Bank of America, in many ways. Over the years, we have sponsored numerous exhibitions, including the recent Women Take the Floor and Ancient Nubia Now. We funded the conservation of two Vincent Van Gogh paintings through the Bank of America Art Conservation Project in 2018, and several years ago we helped to fund the redesign of the Museum’s entrance on Huntington Avenue. And as Museums on Us, our free admission program for cardholders, enters its 23rd year, the MFA remains a treasured member. The museum has been with us since the beginning.

At Bank of America, we believe in the power of the arts to help economies thrive, educate and enrich societies, and create greater cultural understanding. That’s why we support more than 2,000 nonprofit cultural institutions each year. The Bank of America Art Program is core to our commitment to responsible growth and sharing our success in the communities we serve.

We hope that you enjoy Writing the Future: Basquiat and the Hip-Hop Generation and all that the MFA has to offer.
