MFA Boston Cancels Public Programs and Internal Special Events Through August 31

BOSTON (March 31, 2020)—After consulting with community and cultural partners, performers and city officials, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), has cancelled all public events and programs through August 31, 2020.

MFA programs are key to the Museum's mission to provide opportunities for learning and connecting with art. While the Museum is closed to the public, curatorial, education, and communications teams are working remotely to enhance online access to the Museum’s collections and exhibitions. In addition to ongoing posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, the MFA has introduced a new video library offering interviews with artists, virtual tours of exhibitions, behind-the-scenes footage of artwork conservation and highlights from the Musical Instruments collection.
