Community Celebrations

As staff preparations ramp up over the summer, we will host a range of outdoor events on the MFA’s campus starting in September, including concerts and films in partnership with the Roxbury International Film Festival.

Please consider supporting the Museum, its art, and its programs with a gift to the MFA Fund.

Join friends and family at the MFA’s community celebrations and make the Museum your own. Each event is planned with the help of local partners, artists, and performers, with music, dance, activities, and programs that represent the art, history, and global influences found throughout Greater Boston.

Five free days include Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Lunar New Year, Memorial Day, Highland Street Foundation Free Fun Friday, and Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Six Wednesday evening celebrations, when Museum admission is free after 4 pm, include Latinx Heritage Night, ASL Night, Diwali, Hanukkah, Nowruz 2020, and Juneteenth.

Take a look at our full lineup of upcoming community celebrations—we look forward to welcoming you at one soon!
