Directed by David Lynch (USA, 1984, 137 min.). 35mm.

In the year 10191, a duke and his family are sent by the Emperor to the desert planet of Arrakis—home to giant sand worms and the main source of a precious substance called melange that is essential to interstellar travel. The move is intended to destroy the family, but the duke’s gifted son (Kyle MacLachlan) escapes and seeks revenge, using the planet’s ecology as one of his weapons. Featuring iconic performances by MacLachlan, Patrick Stewart, and Sting, David Lynch’s controversial space epic is a feast for the senses with wildly imaginative sets and a haunting soundtrack by Toto and Brian Eno.
