This documentary explores the legacy of America’s oldest black-owned disco club as well as the life of businesswoman and activist Jewel Thais-Williams, who provided safe spaces for LGBTQ, black, and AIDS-impacted communities in Los Angeles for four decades. Jewel’s Catch One is an electric and melodic journey featuring exclusive interviews with Sharon Stone, Thelma Houston, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Madonna, Sandra Bernhard, Thea Austin, Jenifer Lewis, Representative Maxine Waters, and Bonnie Pointer. CCH Pounder narrates this historically important film rich with music from the last 40 years.

Paul is a young man who has recently been diagnosed with HIV. He lives alone, rarely goes outside, and never has human contact. A local pastor convinces him to go to his pregnant niece’s house for dinner with her young family. After confronting his greatest fears, he learns that there is love and life still to be lived.
