MFA Art Finders: Personal Recommendations for You

Submit a request to the MFA Art Finders Team

We want to make it easier for you to find digital images from the MFA collection that can support your teaching and spark new directions of thought, learning, and connection for your students.

In the form below, describe your topic or unit of instruction, and explain how you envision integrating works of art. Requests must be submitted a minimum of 8 weeks before you need the response. Requested decks will be ready in 4–8 weeks.

Experienced volunteer educators from the MFA's Art Finders team, working in partnership with a cohort of K–12 educators serving as consultants to the initiative, will create a Google slide deck for you containing suggestions of up to 20 works of art for your specific lesson/unit. They may also recommend other resources at mfa.org.

Art Finders centers narratives, creative voices, and perspectives that museums have historically underrepresented.

Note: We are currently in the process of making select existing resources more widely available, and are pausing the creation of new customized slide decks. Please use this form to request resources for use in October 2024 or later. Contact teacherresources@mfa.org with any questions.

Please list the names and e-mail addresses of any teachers working with you on this lesson who should be included in communications.

This will be the title of the slide deck we create for you.

What do you hope your students will understand through their engagement with these works of art?
Please tell us more about how you anticipate using the images of works of art, including what you would like the works of art to relate to and/or convey.

Is there any additional context related to the larger lesson or unit that you want us to know, to inform which images we choose for this slide deck?

We are able to provide additional background information and/or connected resources for some (but not all) works of art and topics. If it is available, how much additional context are you looking for?

Is there anything else you would like to tell us about your students and/or lesson to assist us in choosing the best images for you and creating your slide deck?
Please provide the total number of students who will be engaged with this lesson this year.
