Use the MFA collection as inspiration for a series of drawings that focus on technique, creativity, and a contemporary approach to drawing. Build skills and take a creative and expansive approach to drawing. Draw in the galleries, working through long drawings or multiple fast drawings by playing with materials and ideas. We look, work, and improve our drawings, all while having fun!

About the Instructor

Paula Pitman Brown has taught teens and adults painting, drawing, and sculpture for 36 years at schools and instututions such as Chelmford High School, Waltham Public Schools, Decordova Art Museum School, and the Multicultural Art Camp. Brown graduated with distinction from Massachusetts College of Art, with a BFA in Painting and Art History, and also received the Massachusetts Teacher Certification for grades K-12 from Suffolk University and Boston State College. She is consistently creating her artwork of storytelling allegories that are inspired from personal ideas and art history. She has shown her work mostly around the New England area.
