The Museum of Fine Arts offers studio art classes taught by experienced educators who are also professional artists. Students are invited to question, explore, experiment, and solve problems as they create and interact with art. The Museum’s collections provide an unparalleled opportunity to study the processes of artists past and present from a variety of cultural perspectives. Class sizes are limited to ensure that students of all levels benefit from these experiences.

Class Options
Academic Year: Weekend Classes
During the fall, winter, and spring, teen classes are held on weekends and meet once a week. Introduce yourself to the fundamentals of drawing, or work with a variety of materials to create your first canvas painting. Whether you are new to art or advanced in your skills and seeking a creative challenge, Studio Art Classes is a fun way to explore the medium, improve your technique, and meet other art enthusiasts!
Summer Studio Art Classes
During the summer, teen classes meet weekly either in-person or online and focus on subjects such as in drawing, painting, mixed media, and more. Classes are taught by experienced educators who are also professional artists. Please note that registration for summer classes ends at 12 pm the Friday before the class is scheduled to start.
School Vacation Week Intensives
Join a Studio Art Class during February and April Vacation Week with both online and in-person options. These four-day intensives run Tuesday - Friday and explore subjects such as drawing, painting, and mixed media.
