The Roxbury International Film Festival

The Roxbury International Film Festival (ROXFILM) is the largest festival in New England celebrating people of color around the world. The festival presents narrative and documentary features, shorts, animation, experimental, and youth films.

This year’s festival takes place in person throughout Boston and online. For more information, see roxfilmfest.com.

Enjoy in-person cinematic experiences, including Welcoming the Embrace, a documentary about Boston’s newest public monument, a memorial to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King; The Honeymoon, about a woman whose friends rally together to make the most of her honeymoon after she gets dumped the night before her wedding; The Five Demands, the riveting story of a student strike that changed the face of higher education forever; and myriad cinematic shorts. A Q and A discussion with the filmmakers follows all events.
