Celebrate the exhibition “Witnessing Humanity: The Art of John Wilson” by exploring John Wilson’s influence and impact on artists and community across Boston. In conversation with Leslie King Hammond, local artists Ekua Holmes and Napoleon Jones-Henderson reflect on what Wilson and his art means to them—both personally and professionally.

Organized by the MFA and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, “Witnessing Humanity” is the largest-ever exhibition of Wilson’s work. It features approximately 110 works by the artist in a wide range of media—prints, drawings, paintings, sculpture, and illustrated books—and looks at the many ways Wilson called attention to racial, social, and economic injustices through his art.
