Join fellow educators in the exhibition “Dress Up” for a workshop that invites you to consider how our choice of dress can make a political statement, express a mood, or communicate personal identities. First, hear the exhibition curators introduce the exhibition, highlighting some of the more than 100 works on view, including 20th- and 21st-century clothing, jewelry, accessories, illustrations, and photographs, many on view for the first time. Next, engage with the exhibition through in-gallery activities that move between observation, critical analysis, and storytelling. Explore how dressing up—for work, for play, for self—impacts how you see yourself and how you hope to be seen by others. This is the third in a series of three participatory workshops that highlight modern and contemporary art on view at the MFA. Each in the series is accompanied by MFA Art Finders digital image sets developed for K–12 audiences through a lens of inclusion. Light refreshments and discounted parking are provided.

Please note tickets can not be exchanged and are nontransferable.
