Directed by Charles Uwagbai (Canada and Kenya, 2023, 90 min.).
In this bracing thriller, a poor boy from a small African village is arrested on suspicion of terrorism and forced to tell his incredible story to the local police. A math genius from childhood, he had to pass up an MIT scholarship to stay at home to provide for his family. As he struggles with his dreams slipping away, his girlfriend gives him a used book on stock trading that inspires him to create an algorithm that will bring the stock market to its knees.
