Following the passing of his mother, a 17-year-old Egyptian teenager relocates from Cairo to Toronto to live with his estranged father. There he is thrust into the city’s underground queer nightlife, where he confronts his mother’s death by taking up the ways of drag—much to his father’s disapproval.
