Black Business

Black cinema may often be blemished by stereotypes, but in Black Business, these stereotypes serve as a diversion from the deeper messages being conveyed. The short traces the journey of a young Cape Verdean man, recognized in his community, who aspires to empower those around him by launching his own enterprise. Even though his appearance might lead people to perceive him as “street,” he stays true to who he is and his goals, which eventually gives him the opportunities he’s planned for.
