When Paris fell to the Nazis in 1940, the Surrealists dispersed. Yet their cult of dreams and the unconscious continued to spark creativity internationally. Explore the work of a richly diverse set of artists with affinity to Surrealism, including Frida Kahlo, Louise Bourgeois, Mark Rothko, Arshile Gorky, Jackson Pollock, Francis Bacon, Pablo Picasso, and Joseph Cornell. In addition, learn about later work by Dalí and his Surrealist counterparts such as Alberto Giacometti, René Magritte, and Joan Miró.
