In celebration of the exhibition “Rachel Ruysch: Artist, Naturalist, and Pioneer,” this rich interdisciplinary program features presentations from scholars working in diverse fields of study. Delve into Ruysch’s life and her pioneering career as an artist and naturalist. Each presenter covers a different aspect of Ruysch—from her artistic ingenuity and her intellectual social circles to the biological diversity on display in her art. The presentation is followed by a panel conversation and audience Q and A. Learn more about Ruysch and why she is experiencing a well-deserved revival of attention.
