Discover the history of Islamic art in this four-week session that gives you an up-close look at the major strengths of the MFA’s collection, including manuscripts, ceramics, and geometry, as well as embroidery and contemporary art. Learn how curators engage with the large number of light-sensitive works in the collection to create new displays twice a year, as well as engage with works that stay permanently on view. Also explore a new installation of Indian paintings, which features a number of works from Mughal India.
