Not surprisingly, the rarely explored works by women artists in China from all walks of life exhibit extraordinary innovation and expression in a wide variety of materials and styles. Explore two concurrent exhibitions, “One Hundred Stitches, One Hundred Villages: The Beauty of Patchwork from Rural China” and “Innovators and Influencers: Chinese Women Artists Through the Centuries,” to gain a deeper understanding of creations by women residing in small villages and large metropolises from ancient times to today.
