To make the MFA more accessible, we offer free memberships for those who might otherwise not be able to become an MFA member and enjoy frequent visits to the Museum. Welcoming people across our communities helps ensure the long-term vibrancy of the Museum.

MFA Citizens

If you’re a new US citizen living in Massachusetts, you are eligible for a free one-year MFA Citizens membership within one year of your naturalization ceremony. Discover our multicultural institution and be a part of our diverse community.

Collection Artist Membership

We offer free lifetime memberships for living artists with artworks in our collection. Living artists are an essential part of the fabric of our community, and we welcome their energy and perspective.
