Join acclaimed artist and MacArthur “Genius” fellow Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons for a lively lecture about her work at the heart of the MFA exhibition “Rituals for Remembering.” The exhibition includes the Museum’s recent acquisition of Campos-Pons’s 1994 installation A Town Portrait, from her series A History of A People Who Were Not Heroes. This series, like all of the artist’s work champions unsung histories through an experimental, multimedia approach to performance and traditional art materials to embrace ancestral power and inspire global connectivity.
