Animals are abundant throughout the MFA’s Collection! Explore how to depict the various forms of animal anatomy or other wild beasts to capture them in motion. Learn color theory to make your compositions vibrant and expressive!

Please provide a nut-free lunch, snacks, utensils, water bottle, and smock. Supplies are provided.

Registration for February, April, and Summer vacation week classes ends at Noon the Friday before the class starts.

About the Instructor

Karl Stephan holds a Masters in Art Education from the Tufts School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Expert in traditional and contemporary techniques of drawing and other two-dimensional media, Karl is a Medici Artist at Tufts and a well-regarded curator. In addition to his popular museum drawing classes for teens, Karl teaches privately in his Cambridge studio.
