Allison Kaminsky holds an MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Theatre and International Studies from Northwestern University. Her previous museum roles include education, exhibit development, and public programing. In addition to working at the MFA, Allison is an After School Teacher in Wellesley. She was previously an educator at the Old North Church and Historic Site and several of her interpretive tours were featured in a 2022 Boston Globe article. She is excited to empower audiences of all ages to interpret and create art.
Carla Nunez-Hernandez is an artist, illustrator, and educator. She received her Master of Arts in art history at the University of Chicago and her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Maine College of Art and Design. Her work primarily focuses on the duality between visibility and invisibility, exploring new and imaginative ways of looking at and experiencing art and the world around us.
Christopher Montejo is a first-generation Cuban-American educator and artist from Miami, Florida. He recently graduated with a B.A. in Computer Science and Philosophy, with minors in Psychology and Art from Florida International University. His undergraduate studies integrated computational research in cognitive science with art, focusing on play, reasoning, creativity, and perception in early childhood. He is pursuing a career in museum education and curation, focusing on play-based learning and the art of the Caribbean diaspora. Outside of work, he has a traditional Cuban dance and music practice.
Emily Auchincloss is an artist and art educator living and working in Boston, MA, and was born in New York, NY. She received her MFA and a Master’s in Art History from Pratt Institute. Auchincloss’s paintings and weavings have been exhibited nationally and internationally. Her work was recently included in the exhibition "A Wild Note of Longing -on Albert Pinkham Ryder and his Influence" at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, and shape_shifters_support_systems at Praise Shadows Art Gallery in Brookline. www.emilyauchincloss.com
Evan Sneed is a historian and museum professional with a Masters's of History and Museum Studies from Tufts University. A member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, he made the move from Cherokee NC to New England in 2017. Evan currently lives in Boston and has been working in museums around the city for the last six years. Outside of work he enjoys rooting for his favorite soccer team and studying Japanese history. He is excited to engage with a diverse audience at the MFA while focusing on two of his passions - history and education.
Gabriela Perez-Dietz is an artist, farmer, and educator. She holds an MA from Tufts University in Museum Education and a BA from Skidmore College in Art History and Anthropology. A co-chair of the education professional affinity group through NEMA, she focuses on community driven practices. Her work has taken her across the globe from Chicago to Italy, sharing her passion for making art come alive for all audiences. When not at the MFA you can find Gabriela on her farm or sewing up a storm!
Heather Hoganson received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Grove City College and her Master of Arts in Education from Gratz College. Her classroom teaching experience includes third, fourth, and sixth grades. She also taught and facilitated hands-on simulated space missions at the Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis! She is looking forward to sharing her love of art and teaching at the Museum of Fine Arts.
Isabelle Bohling (Issy) is an art and environmental educator and an MA student at Tufts University studying Art History and Museum Studies. She’s worked in a variety of educational settings, including museums, camps, and traditional classrooms. Issy loves running art-making programs outside and fostering connections between people and their environments.
Katie Stack is an educator and children’s illustrator living in Boston, MA. She graduated from Boston College with degrees in Art History and Elementary Education and later received her Masters of Education from Harvard. She also spent a semester in Florence to study Renaissance art. She has a decade of classroom experience, including 5 years in Boston Public Schools, and is excited to bridge her two passions of art and education by teaching at the MFA. She encourages children to connect with art and the world around them through creative, interactive lessons. Kate Hughes is an arts educator with public program experience at the Peabody Essex Museum, the ICA, Boston, and the Gardner Museum. With a BA in History and Art History from Dartmouth College, and an MAT degree in Child Development from Tufts University, Kate has worked with a wide range of audiences, from toddlers to senior citizens. At area art museums, she has worked as an art and nature volunteer, a family programs worker, a VA or standing docent, and a tour guide. At the ICA, Kate helped to pilot the Books and Looks weekend story time. Before working at museums, Kate worked as an afterschool teacher at the Fayerweather Street School, in Cambridge. In her spare time, Kate likes to write poetry to share with her zoom poetry workshop.
Liz Crawford is a ceramicist and enthusiastic generalist. She holds an MA in Public Humanities from Brown University. She earned the nickname "Swiss Army Knife" of art educators for her ability to connect diverse fields to the creative process. Molly Lamb is an artist and educator with an interest in mindful and multisensory approaches to art making and art education. She received her MFA in Photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums nationally. Her teaching background includes museums, community organizations, after-school programs, and higher education. A thread that runs through all aspects of her life is a love of learning, creative thinking, and storytelling. She hopes to inspire students to find empowering connections with art that help them give shape to their own stories.
Monique Momjian earned her BFA in Apparel Design from Rhode Island School of Design with a concentration in Art History. She has worked as a fashion designer, in the Sweater Department, at both Oscar by Oscar de La Renta and Polo Ralph Lauren in New York. After moving to Boston she started her own company where she designed and created accessories with the mindset that "strong girls rock." As a mother, she raised her two children in the city exploring all that Boston has to offer for design, art, color, and nature. In addition to English, Monique can speak fluent French, Spanish, Italian, and Armenian.
Rebecca Arnoldi has an MFA in painting and an MS in Environmental Education. She and leads interdisciplinary experiential outdoor workshops and makes art that explores biological forms. Rebecca has worked as a naturalist and as an art instructor for over 25 years leading programs for many institutions including the National Park Service, the Arnold Arboretum, the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, and the Harvard Museum of Natural History. Also a certified yoga instructor, Rebecca sometimes brings body awareness, expressive movement and stretches into her classes. Rebecca is happy to work with the MFA and help people of all ages explore and express creatively.
Siiri Pombar is an artist and educator originally from Vermont. She graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Art Education and Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking and a minor in Museum Studies. Her teaching experience includes traditional K-12 artrooms, special education classrooms, museum and gallery settings, and summer camps. She is passionate about accessible arts education and is always excited to engage people with art in new ways!
