When British traveler Bethany (Charli XCX) arrives in Warsaw with her boyfriend in tow, her reunion with former lover Nel (Lena Góra), now working at a flower shop, rekindles dormant feelings that shake up everyone involved. Shot on location in Poland and cowritten by its lead performers, Pete Ohs’s intimate, improvisatory romance unfolds with disarming spontaneity, tracing the emotional aftershocks of past intimacy as desire resurfaces in unexpected ways. Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, this lo-fi, cross-cultural love story balances humor and melancholy while charting the volatile terrain between nostalgia and possibility.
