Born in Thailand, Salin is a drummer, composer, and Juno Award–nominated producer based in Canada. Her music explores the enchanting sounds of Northeast Thailand and marries it with the psychedelic sounds of 1970s West Africa. Through her music, Salin ponders identity, spirituality, and humanity. In a performance at the MFA’s Calderwood Courtyard, she complements those themes with doses of fun and energy to create a unique sonic journey.
