Hailing from Marseille, France, Zar Electrik marries Gnouwan trance, sub-Saharan loops, and bewitching electro into a singular sound all its on. The trio, comprised of Anass Zine, Arthur Péneau, and Didier Miosine, creates a mesmerizing trip to the borders of the Maghreb with full-throated voices, hypnotic rhythms, and ternary jolts bathed in electro. Catch the group at the MFA for a dizzying performance and lose yourself in the swirling sound of its infinite trancelike groove.
