Work from the MFA’s encyclopedic collection for inspiration to explore adventurous drawing activities. Build on basic guidelines for two-dimensional image making with fundamentals like mark making and composition alongside advanced skills expressing states of the mind. Experimentation and collaboration are encouraged to further develop a personal visual language in a fun and friendly setting.

Ticket Information

Registration for February, April, and Summer vacation week classes ends at Noon the Friday before the class starts.

Before registering for classes, please review Program Information and Policies.

About the Instructor

Karl Stephan holds a Masters in Art Education from the Tufts School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Expert in traditional and contemporary techniques of drawing and other two-dimensional media, Karl is a Medici Artist at Tufts and a well-regarded curator. In addition to his popular museum drawing classes for teens, Karl teaches privately in his Cambridge studio.
