Portrait Painting in Acrylic Intensive

Working in acrylics, gain an intimate understanding of how to conceptualize and construct a portrait. Explore concepts and techniques such as proportion, structure, features, and likeness, to develop accurate and expressive portraits.

Registration for February, April, and Summer vacation week classes ends at Noon the Friday before the class starts.

About the Instructor
Alice Rufo is an artist, educator, and gallery manager. She has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration and Masters of Arts in Teaching. Alice currently teaches K–5 at Mitchell Elementary School and she has been teaching at the MFA since fall 2023. When she’s not teaching Alice does illustration, fiber arts, and ceramics as well as freelance gallery work including maintaining the Kusama exhibit at WNDR Boston.
