French singer Juliette Armanet makes her luminous screen debut as Cécile, a celebrated Parisian chef on the cusp of opening her dream restaurant. When her father suffers a heart attack, she reluctantly returns to the rural town and truck stop diner she once left behind, only to find herself pulled back into the rhythms of family life and the lingering presence of her teenage love, Raphaël (Bastien Bouillon). As Cécile grapples with questions of identity and ambition, her journey unfolds in fizzy musical vignettes that blur the lines between past and present. The feature debut of director Amélie Bonnin, who adapted the film from her own César-winning short, Leave One Day opened the 2025 Cannes Film Festival—the first time a debut feature has been given such an honor.
