In 1983, an unknown Danish architect stuns the establishment by winning a competition to design the Grande Arche, a monumental project destined to reshape Paris’s historic skyline. Thrust into a world of political ambition, bureaucratic conflict, and mounting technical demands, Johan Otto von Spreckelsen finds his singular vision tested at every turn. With meticulous detail and mounting tension, director Stéphane Demoustier crafts an immersive procedural that transforms architectural creation into high-stakes drama, anchored by a commanding performance from Claes Bang (The Square; Bad Sisters). Both an intimate character study and a portrait of artistic obsession under commercial and political pressure, The Great Arch reveals the human struggle behind an iconic landmark.
